Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Business Related Field or high school diploma with at least three (3) to five (5) years experience in public school accounting
- Data entry skills and computer knowledge in Microsoft Office Word and Power Point
- Microsoft Office Proficient
- Ability to create spreadsheets using Excel
Reports To
Accounting Supervisor
Essential Functions
- Maintains interoffice accountability over food service
- Maintains food service accounting system (WINSNAP)
- Verifies Sales and Meal Count reports for all schools on a weekly basis
- Prepares monthly reports for Executive Director of Food Service and Food Service Supervisors
- Verifies validity of bank deposits
- Verifies daily deposit data for all schools
- Verifies all end of month reports from schools
- Prepares monthly memorandums for contracted food services
- Runs and verifies monthly reports from WINSNAP used to prepare monthly claims for state reimbursements
- Order deposit slips for schools on an as needed basis
- Handles phone calls from Food Service Department
- Receives and verifies end of the month reports from Food Service Managers
- Prepares numerous excel spreadsheets
- Files monthly reimbursement claims
- Maintains and files monthly reports and claims
- Prepares and files expenditure report that is submitted to funding agency for year-end close out
- Performs other related duties as requested or assigned
