Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Business Related Field or high school diploma with at least three (3) to five (5) years experience in public school accounting
• Data entry skills and computer knowledge in Microsoft Office Word and Power Point
• Microsoft Office Proficient
• Ability to create spreadsheets using Excel

Reports To

Accounting Supervisor

Essential Functions

• Maintains interoffice accountability over food service
• Maintains food service accounting system (WINSNAP)
• Verifies Sales and Meal Count reports for all schools on a weekly basis
• Prepares monthly reports for Executive Director of Food Service and Food Service Supervisors
• Verifies validity of bank deposits
• Verifies daily deposit data for all schools
• Verifies all end of month reports from schools
• Prepares monthly memorandums for contracted food services
• Runs and verifies monthly reports from WINSNAP used to prepare monthly claims for state reimbursements
• Order deposit slips for schools on an as needed basis
• Handles phone calls from Food Service Department
• Receives and verifies end of the month reports from Food Service Managers
• Prepares numerous excel spreadsheets
• Files monthly reimbursement claims
• Maintains and files monthly reports and claims
• Prepares and files expenditure report that is submitted to funding agency for year-end close out
• Performs other related duties as requested or assigned
