Job Goal
To provide a program for pre-kindergarten children that is designed to promote the development of cognitive, psychomotor, and affective skills of participating children.
Essential Functions
- Works with students selected for participation in the pre-kindergarten project
- Assists school staff in scheduling selected students for project activities
- Follows a schedule of time periods with students each day as directed by supervising teacher
- Works with students in small and large groups
- Reinforces activities for a daily group from specific concepts designated and approved by the teacher
- Assists with the personalized instructional sessions of pupils to meet needs indicated by the Basic Skills Checklists
- Implements planned activities for gross motor activities to be used to meet needs as designated by the Basic Skills Checklists
- Assumes non-instructional duties assigned by the principal before and after the class day as current hours per day will allow
- Performs other related duties as requested or assigned
